Workshop Contents

Myself in Conflict

Students will explore an understanding of conflict and its root causes, with a focus on their own responses and reactions to difficult situations. They will gain an understanding into conflict handling styles, analyse their own approaches and explore the thoughts, emotions and behaviours they experience as a result.

As this is the first section, time is spent creating a safe and inclusive environment where students to feel comfortable to share and create discussion. Workshops begin with an energy check-in and grounding meditation, sharing techniques that students can take with them to help produce feelings of clarity and calm.

Responding to Conflict

Students will gain a deeper understanding into the body and brain’s reaction during conflict, including their fight/flight/freeze response. They will learn breathwork techniques such as 3 chamber breathing, helping to regulate the nervous system in stressful situations and encouraging constructive responses.

Students will also explore the concept of active listening and what it means to really listen to both themselves and others. They will be provided with a tool-kit of strategies to encourage good listening skills and facilitate meaningful conversations.

Myself and Others in Conflict

Finally, students will learn to constructively communicate their feelings and needs in conflict through Rosenberg’s model of nonviolent communication. They will gain an understanding of restorative questions and explore the ways in which they can encourage positive relationships in the world around them.

The workshop will conclude with a yoga nidra (relaxation meditation) and journaling session, encouraging students to create kind and compassionate experiences for themselves. Students will be invited to share any reflections or learnings they took from the day, and take part in an energy check-out.

Our workshops are broken down into three sections and presented in consecutive order. Our facilitators deliver the entire workshop across one day. For more information, or to make a booking, please get in contact with us via email.
